Megan Maughan (Lynch)
RAD:RTS, CBTS:RAD

Picture
Ms Megan Maughan grew up in Stanthorpe where she trained in classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz and cabaret.  She continued her training when she moved to Brisbane and then the United Kingdom, studying the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Cecchetti classical syllabi.  After returning to Australia, Megan opened a successful dance studio in Tenterfield, NSW (2011-2012) and worked as a dance teacher for Dance Force Stanthorpe (2009-2011), Clifton Dance Studio (2012) and The Ritz Performing Arts Centre (2015-2020).

Megan is a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance; is one of three national recipients to receive the 2021 RAD Australia Teachers' Scholarship and one of nine national recipients to receive the award in 2022.  She
holds the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (FHEQ Level 4) and is a PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) Certified Teacher.

Megan's mission is to provide the regional area in which she grew up expert ballet tuition that is not disadvantaged because of its location.  She continues to study to develop her professional skills and keep up-to-date with the latest teaching methods.  Megan is currently studying a Master of Learning and Teaching (Secondary).  She is an advocate of safe teaching, passionate about taking care of young bodies in a world that is influenced (sometimes dangerously so) by social media trends. Megan teaches all ballet class levels.
